About

If you are reading this, you probably already know who I am, so, as a refresher, my name is Lacey Laken. I am a corporate attorney and have lived and worked in New York City for the past four years. Before that, I lived in Melbourne, Australia for almost six years. I blame Australia for my love of travel and New York for my never-ending search for good food.

On September 5, 2011, I took a break from my career to travel the world for a year. This Blog’s purpose, among other things, is to document my exploits in international eating.

  1. Your father sent me your blog. This is more food than he he has consumed in the last 60 years. I am now signed up for a vicarious global feast. Lead the way. Alan F

  5. We hope you had a great time with Alex in Laos and Cambodia. As you may be aware we currently mainly live in Sanur, Bali. Perhaps you can find time to visit for a few days. There are daily flights from Australia to Denpasar, Bali and it would be easy to get flights to Japan from here. Safe travels. Kym and Dianne

    • Hi! Of course I know you guys are in Bali. Thanks so much for the invitation! I’d love to come sometime and will keep you posted. Hope you are doing well. Al is going to take me to some new Melbourne foodie spots when I’m there and can’t wait to see her again soon.
